The story of...
Sketch and
British Heart Foundation

Furniture | Design services

Sketch Studios were delighted to work with The British Heart Foundation during their in-situ refurbishment of their North London offices. With their staff numbers increasing from 400 to nearly 600 people, their workspace needed to be upgraded in order to house their growing teams in conjunction with a re-brand.

The BHF team chose to tender the detail, build and furniture package and Sketch were the successful contractor. The scope included a light refurbishment of all areas including the build of a brand-new kitchen area “The Lab”, re-purposing and re-location of their existing furniture, procurement of their new furniture and move management of all of their staff, possessions and IT.

Additionally, a solution was sought for BHF whereby the existing large format desks were taken away and recycled to make way for smaller desks to accommodate more people and all remaining furniture cleaned and protected for re-use. The design was provided by “Suzanne Brewer Architects” and we collaborated with Suzanne, the client stakeholder teams and contractors to complete to the intended functionality and aesthetic. The Sketch team were delighted to continue working with BHF on their new Birmingham site with partners AMH within the same year. Please look out for the next case study coming very soon!
