Sketch director to run London Marathon for charity

Sally Rice, Operation Director of Sketch, will be joining tens of thousands of runners for this year’s London Marathon, which takes place on Sunday 28 April.

The London Marathon is one of the world’s most popular marathons. Competitors race for 26.2 gruelling miles through the capital’s most iconic districts before reaching the finish line in The Mall.

Sally is running to raise money for Shooting Star Chase, a children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. She has previously run half-marathons in support of the cause, but this will be her first full marathon.

As part of her preparation she joined a running club last year, works with a personal trainer and keeps fit and supple through swimming and yoga. ‘One of the hardest battles is staying injury free as well as finding the motivation to go out running in the dark, wet and cold,’ she says.

She will be joined on the starting line by Sketch colleague Tom Kernoghan and Area’s Kathryn O’Callaghan-Mills. We wish them all the best of luck.

A raffle has been organised within the company to support Shooting Star Chase, and several suppliers have made donations including Opus Magnum, K&N, Clerkenwell Rug Company and The Collective.
