Global communications marketing firm Edelman were looking to relocate their growing numbers into one building over 2 floors to improve departmental adjacencies.

As Edelman’s thriving London office continued to grow they looked to continue expanding their operation and increase operational efficiency by taking on more office space on the floor above their head office at Southside, Victoria Street and relocating staff based in another location adjacent at Howick place.  Gensler were appointed to design a staircase that would link the two floors ensuring seamless movement within their new space. Sketch were then tasked with selecting furniture that reflected the same look and feel of the existing space whilst also updating functionality and providing an alternative way of working such as introducing hot desking and activity based working.

During the creation of the staircase Sketch provided move management of over 40 workstations and storage facilities whilst works were in progress.

When works were complete Sketch returned the workstations, and reconfigured the existing ones to fit in with the new design. Over 600 staff were then relocated with Sketch managing the move and set up of all workstations over one weekend to minimise disruption to Edelman’s operation.
